Safety
Every Job Starts with Safety. Every Team Member Matters.
At Dugan Restoration, safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a core value that guides every decision we make. We are committed to ensuring that every team member goes home in the same condition they arrive, every single day. Our safety culture is built on proactive planning, continuous training, and shared responsibility across all levels of our organization.
We maintain a robust safety program led by two dedicated safety directors, Joe Healy and Hank Upright, who oversee training, compliance, and on-site safety practices. We place strong emphasis on fall protection, ensuring that every team member is equipped with the proper gear, training, and oversight to prevent fall-related incidents on every job site. Our superintendents hold OSHA 30 certification in construction safety and health; they also receive training in CPR, first aid, fire extinguisher use, and confined space entry.
Our safety efforts are supported by a state-certified safety committee with active employee involvement, ensuring that safety is not just top-down but team-driven. Toolbox talks, regular job site audits, and industrial hygiene surveys, including respirable silica sampling and noise monitoring, are part of our routine operations. Before mobilizing large-scale projects, we conduct thorough hazard analyses and prepare detailed accident prevention plans.
We believe that teamwork and communication are essential to a safe and successful job site. By fostering a collaborative environment and providing our crews with the tools, training, and support they need to excel, we do more than just restore structures, we build high morale and a strong sense of purpose. At Dugan Restoration, safety and teamwork go hand in hand, creating a workplace where people thrive.
