Barrel Skylight Sealant Replacement

This project addressed active water infiltration issues affecting the barrel roof skylight on the CB5 building at Lutron Electronics. The skylight had been leaking prior to the commencement of work, prompting a comprehensive resealing and waterproofing effort to restore the building envelope and prevent further damage.

The project included:

• Removal of all existing horizontal glass-to-glass joint sealant.
• Installation of new structural silicone sealant at horizontal joints.
• Cleaning and resealing of vertical mullions with color-matched silicone overlays.
• Full resealing of vestibule curtain walls, including gasket and sealant replacement and metal break work.
• Final cleaning of all exterior glass surfaces.
